Office hour

It is recommended to hold office hour in an open area so that students can connect with you in a more casual way.

“So with the change in office hours being out in an open area, it was a challenge to begin to get an idea of how that was going to work out. But I think it’s a strong way to build relationships with students. So I think that’s a definite benefit. Most students who I’ve got anecdotal responses from say it was both more open and more approachable.”

Holding office hours right before class may help you get prepared and adjust the class content.

“So it’s easy for me to get into the mindset for class and be fully prepped. If nobody comes to my office hours, I just use that time to work out example problems, review the homework, all that kind of stuff.”    –Instructor & Freeform Developer
